They are soooo cute and very special colored....... I can't seem to find it in the color palette. See if anyone here has better luck than me. There's more pics.... just www.dropshots.com/new.php?userid=79322&cdate=20060304&cimg=0This gerb (I named him WINTER cos his coat reminds me of winter) under sunlight is creamy offwhite beige color......... When I use flash... he looks WHITE.... And in yellow (warm-lighing), he looks like a dove.... but at least 3 shades lighter. I'll say... silvery. He is so tame, very docile and has since moved in withChubbie n Furbbie after 1 day of split cage introduction. I think he's about 3 mths old I am so excited! ;D

Hi Joey
Very interesting colour. I was also pondering with Foo and Jas lol, very unique colour indeed.
I saw your photos and saw the wheels there. Looking for such a wheel, where did you get it and how much?

None wheels are _not_ safe for gerbils. Were is recommended size or not. It's also their body type. It's not like eg.mice who can run in wheels. I also nag about your beddings. Gerbs should have about 20cm bedding! So they can dig tunnels and so on. It's what they do there, where they are from. If u want to keep that less bedding, buy a hamster no need to get angry, but that's the way it is. It's gerbils instinct to dig, and you are now preventing them to follow their instinct and what they usually do. 20cm is not too much, as you all (shoul) know that minimum size for height is 30cm

If you put some boxes and that, and then put bedding (and some hay,to keep bedding more..umm..digginable;D) to those boxes, so that they have 'caves' ready.. then they may dig.. it may take a while them to get the point, my males didn't right away, but now we have great tunnels there
