Hi All, This is the moment we have been waiting for! Winter n Solace has 5 pups on21st April. They are 5 days old now.... Some changes to their pigment and little fuzz. Here's the Winter n Solace pics...... I don't know their genes or color.... Hi All, I have a surprise for u! Some of their eyes have turn sooo dark that it's almost black! These are 8 days old pics. I think their coats are Grey(lilac/dove/saphire), Whites (REW/BEW), Creams (Eyes are darkest almost black) www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=107602&cdate=20060429What do u think? I have been thinking about those parents colour. It's more harder cuz here in Finland may be different colours, and some u may not have and some we don't have. Anyways, about parents: are their tails the same colour as the other fur, or are tails darker? And about pups: I think you should wait some more days, when the fur starts grow it's better to know what they truly are. I was watching this pic www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid=107602&cdate=20060429 and your guessing was : "My guess. Left:grey (lilac/dove), White ,Cream (dark eyes turning black?), white, Light cream dark eyes turning black?)". I think the same, but that cream who has eyes turning to black, could he/she be the same colour than those parents are. First I though that parents would be schimmel (efef P) but then that pup can't be same colour as the parents are, cuz schimmel pups are a lot of darker than that 'cream' . I think that that first pup would be lilac. The second can be rew or pew (parent's colour would help this a lot) 3rd is that 'cream' what I already wrote about. 4th another white, is this the same colour as the 2nd is? is 5th the same colour as that 3rd is? This is only guessing cuz colours in pics doesn't always look as they truly are. Well, soon we'll be sure what colour they are  |

Oh, I take my words back about suspecting parent's colour to be that schimmel.. *oops* I think more than they could be Ccb/Cch honey foxes ( Yours: Spotted Lt. DEH) ... That pic about parent's is not so good, and if you could take another and also a pic of their backs |

the parents are not honey cream, as they have no darker patches on the back. i'm pretty sure that they carry aa and pp, but the other genes, i'm not sure of. i did think that they were both c-separator/RE silver nutmeg (aa CC D- ee gg pp) and maybe Solace was Sp or carried ch, but this would mean that the pups would only be versions of the parents, and no other colours. However, the pups appear to be different shades of colour. for the pups to be creams, they would have to carry Aa/AA, and i think i remember you saying that the parents were both solid (aa) so any Aa/AA pups are impossible from this pair perhaps both parents carry ch and the REW pups are actually PEW. tis confusing  |

Hi All, Appreciate your comments. I've decided to put the parents pics that taken in sunlight.  This is Dad, Winter. His coat looks creamy n silvery.  Up close  This is Mom, Solace  Solace has some color difference here. It's always been there and I did try to remove it.  Their kids....haha they have 4 boys n 1 gal!  Pups with interesting eye pigments. I am dying to find out Winter n Solace's colors n gene code. But I am not sure their kids are helping me with that cos their colors are equally hard to decide. I only know there's 2 greys/silver (My guess is Lilac, Saphire or Dove) I am not sure whether the rests are very dark eyed REWs? I'm pretty sure they can't be PEW cos their eyes ain't pink Thanks again all....u have been of great help. |

Both parent's should have P/p OR other should have P/p and other p/p, otherwise there wouldn't be black and red eyes in same litter. This is so exitement |

My pups are 2 weeks old.... I am thinking I have 2 REWs, Cream, Light Red eyed silver nutmeg, and a Red eyed silver nutmeg.......

I agree with Gerbil_Nanny. About that lilac, you said that brown grey. It should be dark grey, but it may darken when the pup grows up or then she/he stays like thatt and then it's not 'good lilac'.
And I correct what I said before about those black eyes.. There was a little mistake in my sentence.. so, there can be both black eyes and red eyes in the same litter only, if both parent's are P/p - or other is P/p and other p/p.
And if they have adopted babies from another litter, haha
