Keke, I tried a new method recently..... On the 13th Feb 06.
I saw that the gals were in heat.... so I took the chance and put one of them (Saki) with Furrbie to mate....... The boys n gals live in separate tanks, but they have met before in neutral ground.
It did worked out as I expected. Saki allowed Furrbie to mate almost immediately. After 10 mins / mated 8 times, I took Saki out of the tank. I saw that she had some bloody mess on her female part. So she's a virgin gal
Then.... I thought I might have to put Snowball (Saki's galfriend) in too to mate with Furrbie... else one of them may get jealous n fight. Furrbie took immediate interest in Snowball too! They too mated for about 10 mins and I thought I should take Snowball out and put her with Saki again. Snowball too had some bloody mess.... keke so she's too a virgin.
The gals were still excited after returning back into their tanks. Infact, they were playing the mating dance where they take turn to mount on each other......
It's been 2 weeks since the event and Saki seemed to put on some weight.... Snowball being the skinner one looks like she gain some too...but I can't really tell..... Maybe Furrbie n Snowball's attempt wasn't successful.... LOL I dun expect Furrbie to be soooo furtile.... mating after another.
I dun think anyone tried this approach before. Btw... Chubbie(the other boy), Furrbie's companion was in a tempt tank when Furrbie mated with the gals.
WE shall see if this experiment is successful.....If both the gals had successfully conceived, their due date should be on the 9th March. It be good that they both have a liter together, so they can help each other up too. Hopefully, the dun try to eat each other's pups.... Anyway if it happens, I have another tank on standby.
