I think that this subject comes here, not to 'selecting pair' cuz this is not a 'info' subject. More like 'diary' of before mating till birth.
Well, anyways
My Narcissa Narayan (polar fox) is now in good age to breed with my Blessed Be (grey agouti). This to get more grey agoutis.
Yesterday I moved male gerbils to females tank with cage. So that I can see the other female's mating time /heat/estrus. I didn't notice that when she was with her roomate, so that's why moving males to near is good idea. Also they can get to known eachothers better before mating, so that the female isn't aggressive.
So they are now in my biggest tank and there's a cage inside where males are. (the tank is enough big to keep that cage there ; ) )
So when I notice the heat, I'll try to mate them.
