Please help:
I suspect it could be among these 3 causes
a) Bedding (allergy to wood shavings) problem
b) Wire Cages (cause they like to stick their noses and bite the wires causing bald spots and sores)
c) Space (having not enough place to dig/burrow makes them bored and want to bite stuff)
So.... I tried to change their bedding to corn cob...
But it got worse!!!!!!
Now Gertie is constantly having nose bleeds...her nose part is practically bald! and dry blood always get stuck on her nose..she scratches her nose like crazy and it bleeds more!!!
Macy had a normal nose until few days ago..... There's little blood and irritation building on her nose...
I'm afraid Macy might be getting this irritation like Gertie..
When I bought Macy & Gertie home from the pet store, I noticed Gertie already had this bloody/sore/balding nose symptom and Macy was normal... I didn't wanna separate them so I decided to buy them both. Suspected Gertie had this problem from the pet store....
I've tried changing to corn cob and given them some vitamin but the sore noses are getting worse... I'll be putting them in a tank soon cause I think my wire cage contributes to this problem also...
What shall I do???
Any vets provide antiseptic cream or somethin??
And .... also Gertie has this 'red tears' ... like her eye is bleeding or something.. but it's actually stress..

I'm wondering if she's under stress and her nose bleeds or they both are having nose irritation ...??
I only have 2 of them and there's no over-crowding and I feed them well!
Gertie's nose is causing her to lose her sense of smell....
She can't even smell and grab the food.. I noticed she nips it a little then if she is familiar she'll eat..or else she wont..
HELP!!
From this pic u can see Gertie's nose..
