Week 1. Furrbie n Chubbie are 2 male gerbs from different sources. Chubbie was the aggressor and bit Furrbie hard. I had to use Splite Cage method. I am using the conventional glass tank and divider which u can get from any aquarium store. Just make sure u use 2 clips on each sides as well as the bottom. Since, it's plastic, they will chew on it................. Here's Furrbie snacking on a bread. And Chubbie is watching him closely next door. I switch the gerbs 3 times daily. So they can get use to each other's smell. Yummie! Btw.. Chubbie finished his share of bread....keke Week 2. U can see Chubbie thru the divider......Still watching.... the often "talk over the divider". Trying to communicate n resolve problems.....Whose the Leader? After 3 weeks of Split, Chubbie decides that he like Furrbie.....Somehow, he manages to jump over the divider! They didn't fight whenever Chubbie visits Furrbie. I realise that Chubbie goes over to sleep with Furrbie......When he wants to have a time out or be alone, he returns to his side of the tank. HOW CUTE! Week 4, I removed the divider, cleaned the tank with fruitie soap to mask their scent. I put the lesser dominant male in first and then the dominant. They immediately explore each other. Oh... lotsa timothy hay helps too! Apparently, it has calming effect on the gerbs. Call it aroma therapy. This is a Success.... Pic taken 3 days after introductions. The groom each other and sleep together. Now they are the best of friends......thou Chubbie likes to throw his weight around sometimes. I hope this helps....... U have to be very patient for the best results. Some gerbs resolve quicker..... I have known some as quick as 3 days........ Cheer!

nay.. thats why I let all loose 2 times a week in a common place... say ur bathroom or balcony..... They usually check each other out... and since it'sneutral territory, less likely to fight.
Try this out for a month and usually u can intro without most agression.
Works for me woa.
