Duchess has a single pup, but she is doing a beautiful job of fostering Solce's 2 white pups. Duchess's pup is a blackie and a gal too

yup i think so too.... seems to be that way.... The longer my gerbs mates say 4-6hrs... more pups.... short one like 45mins... heehee 1 pup.

hmm not really true in all cases. Sesame n Esc onli mated less than 45 mins n she popped 6 pups ;D

I think it depends on how fertile the female is.... like humans, we also got a specific time during our cycle where we are the most fertile, same as dogs, cats, rabbits....
So I think that's why some of our gerbils only birth 1 or 2... they got pregnant at the early cycle stage instead of the most fertile stage.
